This versatile bassoon is crafted from select, loft-seasoned maple, which gives the instrument a beautiful sound with a traditional bassoon timbre. The bocals deliver very easy response and even intonation between registers. The keywork is of a well thought out “finger-friendly” design. All keys and pads are hand assembled for tight, secure action. Thanks to the exceptional tonal characteristics and the good stability to the sound, students will be impressed by the playing abilities they achieve with this model.

Mountain Maple (Bergahorn), selected for the finest tonal characteristics, naturally aged and well seasoned, stained in red brown color, higly hand polished and specially oil-impregnated in a two-step impregnating process. The wing joint bore and the small side bore of the boot joint are epoxy-lined, the wide side boot joint bore is partially epoxy-lined. High gloss lacquer as the standard finish, optional matte waxed finish available. All tenons are hand fitted into their sockets to ensure the most reliable connection. Brass tenon and socket protectors. One-piece brass boot joint U-Tube secures a regular bore flow for optimal sound projection. White composition bell ring (German bell). - Keywork: German system. Keys of nickel-silver alloy. Rubber tubes extending into the bore in the 5 finger holes of the wing and boot joints to prevent water from entering into the tone holes. All posts set in epoxy, spring posts are locked with screws to prevent moving. Leather pads, Body lock, Strap ring, Cardholder socket.
